RHTP timeline: key dates from 2025 application to 2030
The RHTP timeline runs from the 2025 application window (state plans due November 5, 2025) through awards announced by December 31, 2025, into five spending years from FY2026 to FY2030. Each year releases roughly $10 billion, so states move from planning into active solicitations and implementation across the period.
The application year (2025)
CMS released the Notice of Funding Opportunity in fall 2025, opened an application window, and required state plans by November 5, 2025. Awardees and first-year allocations were announced by December 31, 2025.
The spending years (FY2026–FY2030)
With awards in hand, states stand up their solicitations and begin disbursing funds. Roughly $10 billion is available each year, so the opportunity pipeline continues to refresh annually rather than arriving all at once.
Frequently asked questions
- Did all states have to apply by the same date?
- Yes. The federal plan submission deadline was November 5, 2025.
- Is it too late to participate if I'm a provider?
- No. State-level solicitations continue across the FY2026–FY2030 period, so provider and partner opportunities keep appearing.
